How cancellations, refunds and pauses work for projects, retainers and care plans with Byte Geniushub.
Because our services involve skilled time reserved specifically for your project, refunds are linked to the work completed. This policy applies to all engagements from 1 August 2026, unless your signed proposal states different terms, in which case the proposal prevails.
If you cancel in writing within 3 working days of paying the kickoff milestone and before the discovery workshop has taken place, we refund the payment in full minus any non-refundable third-party costs (such as domain registration or purchased licences) and payment-gateway charges.
Milestone payments for deliverables you have approved — for example signed-off designs or a launched website — are non-refundable, as the work has been delivered and accepted.
Retainers for SEO, paid media, social media, website care and AI assistant care have a minimum term of three months unless agreed otherwise. After that they continue month to month and can be cancelled with 30 days’ written notice. Fees for a month that has started are not refundable. Advertising budgets paid directly to platforms are governed by those platforms’ own policies.
Domains, hosting, premium plugins, software subscriptions, stock media, SMS credits, AI model usage and other third-party purchases made on your behalf are non-refundable once purchased, but remain yours to keep and use.
If you need to pause, we can hold a project for up to 60 days at no charge. Longer pauses may require re-scheduling and a revised timeline, and re-onboarding fees may apply if the team must be reassigned.
We may end an engagement if invoices remain unpaid for more than 30 days, if the client requests unlawful or unethical work, or in case of abusive conduct towards our team. In such cases we invoice completed work and refund any prepaid amount for work not yet performed.
Approved refunds are processed within 10 working days through the original payment method where possible — bank transfer, bKash or Nagad — or by bank transfer to an account in the client’s business name. Gateway and transfer fees may be deducted.
Send a written request from your registered email address with your company name, project reference and reason. We will acknowledge it within two working days.
